my name is ciaran. need ID do you. fuck. ok here's my temporary driver's license and my astronaut application form... i didn't pass that though, i failed everything but the date of birth.
anyways... i was born a poor black child... i remember the days, sittin' on the porch with my family, singin' and dancin' down in mississippi. wocka wocka. actually i was born and raised in new york. we're now gonna skip ahead and quickly fast forward this conversation. i say, i was born in new york. now you say, oh what part of new york. now i'm gonna look at you roll my eyes, shake my head and respond, upstate new york is not new york. now you look at me uncomfortably because i've been rude and haven't exactly answered your question but at the same time you realize that's all you're gonna get out of me on that. lets move on. i lived at fort gordon, ga for a year. it's a shithole. i've lived in kuwait for 15 months of my life. it's a dusty shithole. i lived in woodbridge, va too. that was kinda ho-hum but i honestly didn't live there long enough to be able to accurately say it was a shithole. now i live in laurel, md, or as my selfish, prude, non-cocksucking ex-girlfriend used to lovingly refer to it as... "the land that time forgot". seems fine so far, but i reserve the right to call it a shithole at a later date.
i was born and raised roman catholic, but don't practice anymore. don't try to convert me or anything. i'm on speaking terms with the big guy but don't see the need with bothering him with random and unimportant shit on a regular basis. and i sure don't buy into the rules and bylaws of religious institutions formed by man, who are not infallible last time i checked. plus, i have seen firsthand how religion can be used and manipulated by people to keep them down, without them even realizing they'd been had. i don't care what your views are on religion and you can worship chester cheeto for all i care so long as you don't force your views on other people. just accept that and we'll all get along.
i'm very open-minded about shit. alot of people say that but i actually am. dudley malone once said "i have never in my life learned anything from any man who agreed with me." but i respect your right to surround yourself with people who always agree with you and tell you you're a genius.
i am against war, however i understand that war is a by-product of human nature and while it would be nice to think that western civilization has progressed to the point where we'd be able to avoid wars by talking thru our problems... it's just not a realistic ideal at this point in our evolution. and seeing as how i like to always deal in reality, i accept that which cannot be avoided. things like our current wars. and for those of you who don't agree with me and feel the need to protest and have your little rallies that will never make a difference, please refer to the following quote...
human nature people. not all wars are fought with guns.
i love my converse all-stars. if you don't like chuck taylors, please proceed to your nearest 'house un-american activities committee' office and turn yourself in for re-education and/or execution.

i have a playstation 2, a gamecube and an xbox. why did i buy all three gaming platforms when one or certainly two would have been sufficient? because i fuckin wanted to, that's why. get over it. i fuckin rock at first and third person shooters and have an affinity for world war 2 games.
i'm in the army reserve and have done two combat tours overseas. i joined to serve my country. sound naive and idealistic? it is. but it IS the best reason for joining. i've done many things in my time in the army... and i didn't do them for medals or accolades... i did them because it was what needed to be done and was the right thing to do.
that said, i will not be re-enlisting in the army. not because i don't like it, but because i've done my duty to my nation and paid my dues, as well as the dues for alot of my friends. always remember that you sit safely in your living room, you go to work without fear of foreign invasion and you sleep peacefully in your bed at night because there are people like me who are willing to do violence on your behalf. and if ever the day comes when you are asked to exhibit that same level of violence... well to quote frank miller... "it's time to prove to your friends that you're worth a damn. sometimes that means dying, sometimes it means killing a whole lot of people."

i have 3 tattoos. does this make me cool? no. does it make me me? yeah.

i am a huge new york yankees fan. all i have to say to all you yankee haters out there is... don't hate the playa, realize that you hate yourself and go jump out a fuckin window. also, if you think you're clever and witty when you say "i root for 2 teams... the ::insert team name:: and whoever's playing the yankees", you're not. or this one is good too... "well ::insert your favorite team here:: could win all the time too if they paid for their teams..." alright stupid. what was the mean (as in average, not angry) payroll in '96 when they won, or '98? in 1998, they had the second highest payroll, second to the orioles who were shit. it's only in the last 5 years that the yankees' payrolls have skyrocketted and guess what? they haven't won in 5 years. interesting fact, in '98 in the world series, the yankees played the padres... a team which had a payroll $20M less than the yankees'. they made it to the world series. so stop blaming the yankees for the simple fact that your team blows a mean donkey cock.
i wear sweater vests cause i'm a sexy bitch.

i also have a rather unhealthy obsession with star wars. my apartment is strewn with star wars memoriblia n' shit. i have the stormtrooper blaster on top of my fridge. i have 2 obi-wan lightsabers on my coffee table. i have the movie posters in my dining room.
i listen to opie and anthony and serve proudly as a soldier in the O&A Army... a "pest" if you will. i'm radar on wackbag, although i never post. i'm also the proud owner of the O&A sign that got arthur chi'en fired. if you think stern is better, that's your opinion and you are certainly entitled to it however you're wrong and i think you like stern better because you can get your "raunch" on the terrestrial radio and not have to pay for satellite radio.

on that note, if you say or have ever said "i'd never pay for satellite radio", i have one question for you. do you pay for cable? it's the same goddamn thing stupid.
ron and fez big ass cardholder #1421. hoo-ha.
i know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're". if you don't then might i suggest you put the muzzle in your mouth and give a nice healthy yank on that trigger! ::thumbs up::
i have a rather large dvd collection and an even larger music collection, all of which is on mp3. it's about 80GBs at this point and yes my music collection is all legal. unless you're hot and have a thing for rebels, in which case i downloaded every last song.
i'm rather opininated on shit, but i do my research and don't take everything that i hear on television (or as some of your call it, the magic box with the pretty pictures) as holy fuckin writ.
i sometimes pine for the days when my only worry when i was going to get my gerber bananas.

when i got back from the middle east in january, i began a bit that has fascinated audiences all over the world. i call it 'ciaran's car careoke'. this is where i play a song on the car stereo whilst driving and sing the song to you, the faithful reader in a vain attempt at entertaining you and otherwise brightening your day. i suspect after listening, one would deem that i've achieved mix results on the brightening part. here are a few examples of my vocal stylings over the previous year...
the one that started it all... ticket to ride by the beatles
starship's we built this city
better now by collective soul
green day. holiday.
and here's me on the ciaran's car careoke action cam...

i'm cool because someone named their fish after me. this is 'sgt o'.

and lastly, i'm not arrogant. it's not my goddamn fault i'm always right.
